Gettin' ready -- vamos p'alla

Well, well
we've got the passports, the visas, house is almost clean (pristine, as good as ever, really), grass cut and ready to rock with the Italian. Neighbours and friends kissed and goodbyed. Now waiting and filling time in some strange calm leisure that is pretty undesired and meaningless. I want to go!

How do I feel before I go? I am curious and a bit excited (not overly taken over) in the professional plane. Not afraid nor scared, but respectful about what's coming.
I go very scared about my family. I have the inner question if this is right at all. Am I dragging them a step too far? are we stretching too long our foreign adventure?
I go with some anticipation of some good things I may be getting for myself. I've stocked my ipod with a few songs that will bring me a good flair of Spain for when I need it (emergency kit), I'm leaving brilliant new friends here, that are still to share many hours with us. Looking forward to that! and I know that I've got a few good friends back at home. I'm looking forward to keeping the printer firing good stuff. I've got my Nikon ready for some good shooting, I've got vague plans of kit improvement. I even had the idea of getting started in flamenco, to add to my jazz musical passion...we'll see how far we get.

This post should be the one to refer to in a year... but will I be writing in a year? how many posts out of 365 will I be able to write? except for my pivotal experience in 1994, when I spent a month and a half (!) in Paraguay, I have never been back to a regular note taking.
So far, only one reader and one writer.

Va por ustedes!
